Educational Visits

Monday 7th July 2025, Year 1SD had a fantastic time visiting Canalside Farm as part of our class text, Paddington. We explored the different colours of fruits and vegetables and talked about how each colour helps our bodies in different ways—just like eating a rainbow! We then headed out on the farm where the children were excited to learn about the journey from plant to plate. Finally, we got to pick our own fruit and were able to spot the colours of the rainbow in the fruit we picked. This linked nicely to our previous science link on plants and we discussed how each one helps us stay healthy and strong. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that helped bring our literacy and science learning to life. Well done, Year 1!
