Educational Visits

Y1GC visited Canalside Farm in Stafford for a fun and educational fruit-picking trip - we headed out to the fields, punnets in hand, to pick a variety of fruits, including strawberries and raspberries. The children enjoyed learning how to carefully select ripe fruit. We drew our own "fruit rainbows" and learned about how different coloured fruit can benefit different parts of our bodies - e.g. red fruit for heart health, orange fruit for good eyesight etc. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with hands-on learning, outdoor fun, and delicious fruit.
