Year 5LS visit Blist Hill
On Tuesday 30th April, Year 5LS went back in time a visited a Victorian Town called Blist Hill. This linked to our ‘For the love of reading book – Street Child.’ All of the children really enjoyed the day and could not believe the way in which The Victorians had to live. Everybody visited the different Victorian shops, including The Bakery and The Pharmacy, however a particular favourite was The Sweet Shop. We also visited a Victorian school. The children were shocked at what schools were like during this time compared to now.
