Year 5AM visit the Black Country Museum

On Thursday 30th April 2026, our Year 5 class enjoyed an exciting and educational day trip to the Black Country Living Museum. The visit gave pupils the opportunity to step back in time and experience what life was like in the past. Throughout the day, children explored historic buildings, including old-fashioned shops, houses, and a traditional schoolroom. They took part in interactive activities such as a Victorian lesson, where they experienced strict classroom rules, and watched demonstrations of traditional trades like blacksmithing. One of the highlights of the trip was speaking to the costumed staff, who brought history to life by sharing stories about daily life in the Black Country. Pupils also enjoyed a ride on a vintage bus and had the chance to visit the old mine, learning about the region’s industrial heritage.
