Year 6SD visit The Staffordshire Regiment Museum
As part of our World War II history topic, Year 6 visited The Staffordshire Regiment Museum on Wednesday 12th February 2026.
The children had a fantastic hands-on experience. They were able to explore replica air raid shelters and trenches, examine authentic wartime memorabilia and even try on military and civilian uniforms. These interactive activities really helped bring their learning to life.
Children also learned about rationing and what daily life would have been like for children growing up during World War II. Through discussion and role-play, they developed a deeper appreciation of the challenges families faced and the resilience shown during this time.
The visit supported our classroom learning and allowed the children to immerse themselves in history in a meaningful and memorable way.
