Year 3SS visit Wedgewood
During our visit, History came to life when we stepped into the World of Wedgwood. We learnt how pottery was made many years ago and what it was like to work in a bottle kiln and factory. We also learnt about the life of Josiah Wedgwood and looked at many of his amazing pottery creations. The factory tour allowed us all to learn about how pottery is made today and we even got to touch some very expensive pots and plates. During the afternoon, we designed and painted our own pencil pot before it was sent of to the factory to be glazed and fired. We all had a fantastic day learning about our local history and heritage.
