Year 1SD visit Peak Wildlife Park
Additionally, we explored how different animals are suited to different continents, reinforcing our current Geography topic.
We took a walk with the lemurs and wallabies finding out all about their habitats and diet. During the talk in the wallaby enclosure, we found out that wallabies are native to Australia and how marsupials nurture their young in pouches. We were even lucky enough to stoke the wallabies and get a glimpse of their tiny joeys!
We observed the polar bears in their surroundings, learning more about the conservation efforts dedicated to their preservation.
Finally we walked through the giant rabbits who were enjoying the lovely sunshine!
