Year 1SD visit Peak Wildlife
Year 1 SD had a fantastic time today at Peake Wildlife Park. We had the opportunity to look at a variety of animals in their habitats and we were even lucky enough to stroke some! We observed polar bears in their new surroundings, learning more about the conservation efforts dedicated to their preservation. We took a walk with the red squirrels, lemurs and wallabies and completed a workshop to link in with our Geography topic about Africa. We found out more about meerkats and how they adapt to their conditions. Finally we walked through the giant rabbits observing their dietary needs.
