Year 1GC visit Middleport Pottery
Today Y1GC explored Middleport Pottery and looked at how pottery was made when Middleport Pottery first opened compared to now. We went inside the potbank and learned about how it was used to heat pottery up. We listened to a story about a girl painting pottery with a magic paintbrush so her pottery came to life. Finally, we made our own clay pot banks, learning how to form the correct shape and mould the clay!
